Here is some basic information about the parts of the liturgy of the Divine Service (the holy liturgy).
The word "liturgy" is from the Greek and simply means "public service". The liturgy, then, is God's service to His people wherein He gives us His blessings through Jesus Christ, His Son, whose Spirit we share. |
Gottesdienst is a quarterly journal of orthodox Lutheran liturgy. Copies of the journal are provided by Pastor in the narthex. |
